Fibreglass resurfacing fixes any leaks, rust, stains or osmosis by applying a shell over the existing degraded pool finish. It also coats damaged and mouldy pool surfaces and rejuvenates old tired looking pools. In essence what we do is build a "new" fiberglass pool inside your existing pool.

Surprising Strength 

Unlike all the other pool resurfacing technics, fibreglass is resistant to pool shifting.  The high tensile strength of fibreglass will allow the pool shell to flex without cracking to accommodate earth movement.  Not surprising that boat and aeroplane manufacturers are using fibreglass to build and repair their equipment.

Smooth Finish

The top coat forms the surface layer in the fibreglass resurfacing process, it gives the pool a beautiful smooth texture.  The finish of the top coat is similar to that on boats and water slides. The finish is non-abrasive and there are no sharp edges or rough finishes compared to pebble pools that are abrasive and can harm your skin.   It also gives the pool its colourful  surface. One of the major benefits is it uses less chemicals to keep clean. This is because the fibreglass resurface does not absorb any of your pools chemicals so the pH is easier to maintain. 

Due to the inert fibreglass surface no chemicals are absorbed into the pool water.  This means nothing in your pool can cause chemical imbalances.  Hence, very low chemical usage and considerable cost savings on running your pool.

Speed of Fibreglass Resurfacing

You could be splashing around in a 'new' fibreglass pool in as little as two to four days. We don't take up much room with our equipment while we are resurfacing your pool and there is also little mess.

 Our Fibreglass Pool Resurfacing Step by Step

1. Pool water is pumped out and the surface is prepared for fibreglass resurfacing.
2. Application of Vinyl Ester primer coat (substrate adhesion coat)  
3. Application of Vinyl Ester / Fibreglass reinforced laminate   
4. Application of  Vinyl Ester filler coat (chemical barrier and   enhances  the quality of the finished surface)
5. Application of   Aquaguard ®  top coat, the smooth colourful protective barrier.  
6. After the filling of your swimming pool you will be ready to dive in and enjoy your 'new pool'.
